STARBOARD S-TYPE MONOLITHIC CARBON 2000/82 COMPETE FOIL 2021 -
S-TYPE
For surfing waves and carving maneuvers to freeriding. The S-Types feel solid, stable and secure. They react instantly and precisely to carving pressure. The smaller the size, the faster the speed.
The lower aspect ratio provides stable and controllable lift with rock-solid stability. The sweeping leading edge lets the wing carve and react smoothly.
Starboard Foils' signature look: the double concave adds stability at speed while the drop-down wing tips act like thruster fins to give precise carving traction.
The moderately thin profile section with its rounded leading edge and a more symmetrical shape blends speed, control, stability and stall-resistance.
MONOLITHIC CARBON MAST
Maximum efficiency and minimum weight. The base is shaped super-thick to provide maximum stability and rigidity. This thickness tapers down to a narrower chord for enhanced maneuverability and improved efficiency. The rounded leading edge is made to keep turns smooth and precise at any speed. It was easily our favourite new item from the new collection. We were so excited by its performance that we went ahead and made it available in 92cm and 102cm too.
The front wing slides over the fuselage and locks in place with a quick half-turn of the pressure bolt. The new HD upgrade has an extra hole for a second bolt that gives additional security for heavy duty use.
QUICKLOCK HD
Will this front wing work with other fuselages?
Quick Lock HD front wings fit both Quick Lock HD fuselages and Quick Lock fuselages. They won't work with Wind Foil fuselages that use the saddle system.

TO FLOAT OR NOT TO FLOAT?
The Monolithic Carbon mast set makes your foil light enough to float. Riding the lightest foil makes flying more efficient, more controllable and more reactive.
Some progressing riders may prefer the Aluminium V7 mast that sinks the foil, making it act like a keel and helping to keep the board flat and stable.
